I'm a developer and open source contributor who is mainly working on C/C++ and Lua. I have been working and contributing to multiple organizations, mostly on The Algorithms.

In 2019, I started my journey through the programming path, it's been a nice path, with difficulties, but very fun. Since then, I started to love open source, coding, programming, and learning new things about coding.

I also work on 5+ mods of the Minetest engine; you can find 3 here. I've contributed to many open-source projects such as Minetest, Devicon, Humans of Julia, and many other projects, such as other Minetest mods.

However, all of the above takes time and work, especially developing and maintaining open source projects without being paid, which is why I would like you to support my work here.

Some of my work is listed below. My main work is mostly at The Algorithms, Devicon, and EddieHub.

Contributions on The Algorithms

I'm one of the most active maintainers in The Algorithms, especially in the C and the C++ repositories. I'm also a maintainer for its website and the Julia repository.

Reviewing pull requests

In the C/C++ repositories, I have reviewed over 100 pull requests, guiding the pull request author to make their algorithm a well-documented and coded resource for learners and coders according to our repository guidelines. The repository uses Doxygen to make the documentation live on the cloud.

Improving the documentation and the code

I've improved over 5 old algorithms to make them useful for everyone, adding refined documentation and conforming with the repository guidelines. A lot of work and effort has been put into the documentation.

Maintaining the Twitter account

I also maintain the Twitter account for The Algorithms. I tweet about new changes in The Algorithms or stuff related to The Algorithms.

Other contributions in other repositories

As a member of The Algorithms, I've also contributed to various other repositories of the organization. I also maintain other repositories, such as the Julia and R repositories.

Some key examples include:

  • DIRECTORY.md workflow addition in 10+ repositories.
  • The Discord bot maintenance.
  • PR documentation reviewing (i.e.: R and Julia repositories).
  • Checking out for new languages on the website.
  • Help fixing/adding new stuff in other repositories.
  • Other minor improvements and changes.

Discord community efforts

Helping other users with their questions, moderating, making new announcements, defining good guidelines, etc., takes additional time and effort.

Contributions on Devicon

Reviewing pull requests

In Devicon, I've reviewed 80+ pull requests, helping and guiding the pull request author to make their icon up to our repository standards. We have a Peek Icon workflow that helps us look at the icon and determine if we can accept it.

Adding new icons

As new use-cases come (such as logos for a website), we will need to add more icons to our collection. Currently, I've added 10+ new icons to the collection.

Unofficial Discord server management

I also manage the unofficial Discord server for Devicon as an administrator. I ensure the community is a safe and welcoming environment for all of our users. I also provide support to our users and help them with their questions.

Minetest projects

I mainly fix minor bugs, add tools such as LuaCheck, and use the latest features of the API. I've contributed to over 10 Minetest mods, all of them being open source. Mostly all mods can be found on Minetest mods.

Minor pull request reviews

I also review pull requests, mostly to make comments or fix minor typos, or ask for more information about the PR.

Maintaining projects

I maintain a lot of popular Open Source Minetest mods. These are some mods I maintain in the Minetest Mods organization:

Other open-source projects

I've also contributed to many other open-source projects, doing the following:

  • Fixing minor bugs.
  • Using the latest API features.
  • Fix/add continuous integration.
  • Minor pull request reviews.

Personal projects

I've been working on some personal projects in C++ and VBA.\ Most of them are to learn and to have fun. Here are some of them:

  • List of employees of an organization with many features.
  • Calculator (console & Windows Forms).
  • Magic number.
  • Tic Tac Toe
  • And many, many more...
