Description
I'm a longtime Linux user and open-source developer who enjoys building practical, efficient systems software. My work focuses on solving real-world problems close to the operating system: remote desktop streaming, GPU acceleration, virtualization, input devices and archival file formats.
What I maintain
VDI Stream Client
VDI Stream Client is a lightweight, low-latency Linux client for connecting to GPU-accelerated Windows desktops running Parsec Host.
The project is designed for productive daily work rather than gaming alone. Its goals include efficient hardware video decoding, reliable keyboard and mouse handling, Linux desktop integration, automatic reconnection, resolution synchronization and USB redirection.
Longer term, I would like to continue reducing dependencies on proprietary components and explore a dedicated host service for a more complete open-source desktop-streaming solution.
libmpq
libmpq is a C library for extracting, creating and modifying MPQ-or MoPaQ-archives.
These archives are used by many classic games and remain important to preservation projects, modding tools and applications that need programmatic access to the format. Maintaining libmpq means keeping this older but useful code compatible with current compilers, platforms and build environments.
mpq-tools
mpq-tools provides command-line utilities built for working directly with MPQ archives.
Together, libmpq and mpq-tools offer both an embeddable library for developers and practical utilities for users, archivists and tool authors.
What sponsorship supports
Your sponsorship gives me more dedicated time to:
- investigate and fix reported bugs;
- maintain compatibility with current Linux distributions, compilers and libraries;
- test changes across different hardware and software configurations;
- improve documentation, packaging and release processes;
- review community contributions;
- continue development of VDI Stream Client and its future host-side components;
- preserve and modernize libmpq and mpq-tools without abandoning their existing users.
Open-source maintenance is often less visible than adding new features, but it is what keeps software dependable over the long term. Sponsorship helps turn occasional spare-time work into consistent maintenance and development.
Thank you for using, contributing to or sponsoring my projects. Every contribution helps keep this software available, useful and maintainable.
